Pregnancy Massage – SMT101
The pregnancy massage course is a hands-on workshop designed to guide massage therapists and other perinatal professionals as they strive to address the physiological and emotional needs of the perinatal woman. Participants learn techniques to lessen musculoskeletal pain and reduce prenatal and birth complications through touch. Students are introduced to the management of high-risk pregnancies and difficult pregnancies, and design personalized massage sessions that reflect the prenatal, birth and postnatal stages. Included are effective draping techniques, positioning clients and gentle movement exercises to facilitate birth and post-natal recovery. This is an 8-hour course.
