Salter College is no longer enrolling students in the Associate in Science in Medical Assisting program at the Chicopee, MA campus.
Salter College offers a comprehensive Associates of Science in medical assisting focused on educating students in both clinical and administrative areas. Through our practical and theoretical training, students can gain the skills that are necessary for entry-level employment.
Our medical assisting program in Massachusetts offers students a number of multifaceted career options. As a medical assistant, job tasks vary but can include making appointment schedules and billing insurance companies.
They can also assist physicians in day-to-day responsibilities, like taking and recording vital signs, explaining treatment procedures to patients, and sterilizing medical equipment.
Occupational Outcomes for graduates with an Associates of Science in medical assisting:

The Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB) requires Salter college to publish one or more of its 2010-2015 Annual Report outcomes annually. It is based on 5 year weighted averages. The outcomes are as follows:
Over the past five years, Salter College Medical Assisting Program and Associates of Science in Medical Assisting have a job placement rate of 76%. The graduates of the Medical Assisting programs are satisfied with the education that they receive at Salter College as there is an average of 99% graduate satisfaction rate over the past five years.
